After a night of restless no sleep, the old man shuffles to put on the coffee, then to the toilet to toot and tinkle, struggling to put on his clothes, a body aching in pain and stiff as a board, he struggles to get out the door, left with the duties of of doggy sitting, 10 hungry and eager labs are ready to potty, kennels to clean o the noise of barking chaos in the dark morning hours adds to his misery, happy to see him they all jump and kiss as he sends them out to play, nearly an hour later he makes his way inside, where he struggles to dice up 6 potatoes, adds a corned beef brisket to the crock pot, a bag of frozen peppers and onions potatoes go on top, a stick of butter and a box of chicken stock, he covers the pot and plugs it in, looking at his mess in the sink, his back hurts to much to wash at the moment, he pours a cup of coffee and shuffles to his chair, he places his stuff in the chair onto his bed, and drops down, turns on his classical music and takes a sip, to the morning he nods, and hopes that with the rising sun, his body begins to loosen up, holding no real hope, he knows hes beyond wore out, later there are chickens to tend to, dogs to air through out the day, maybe by lunch he will have a hot plate, then more of the same through out the day, so much to be done, so little strength, so much pain and no energy, but to get through another day this old man must, if not for himself, the barking brigade is relying on him today.
